Councillor Lily Kaufman

I have lived in Oadby for over 30 years. I ran a small local business and have been a councillor over six years. I always make sure that I deal with residents’ issues speedily and hopefully, in most cases satisfactorily where I am able. I am approachable and will always respond quickly.

I will endeavour to:

  • keep weekly bin collections;
  • keep free shoppers’ car parking;
  • keep our parks in good order;
  • support our Town Forum for residents to have their say;
  • liaise with our MP when our children cannot get into local schools;
  • work with council officers to make sure homeless people get the help they need.

I am proud of our Borough. I will work hard to keep Oadby a pleasant place to live and ensure that we are not merged with Leicestershire County or Leicester City Councils.

Councillor Samia Haq

Contact Samia via this form or using the contact details on the Borough Council web site.

I live in Oadby with my family and have served as your local councillor for over ten years – an experience that I have very much enjoyed!

As your councillor, I have campaigned for:

  • Better health services, including opening and keeping the 8-9 / Urgent Care Centre in Oadby;
  • Reducing crime;
  • Protecting bus services;
  • Fludes Lane & Uplands Park improvements including locking of park gates.

I am passionate about our area and strive for the best in everything I do. I continue to work hard for residents and I believe my experience helps me to provide a friendly, flexible approach to deal with issues relating to the council or any other residents’ concerns.
