Rosemarie Adams

I have lived within the Wigston area for more than 40 years, my husband Richard and I moved onto the Fairfield Estate four years ago. I worked for 12 years as a Registered Childminder in Wigston, and for 17 years in the NHS, monitoring the recruitment and training of the Junior Doctors. During this time, I was also Health and Safety Representative for the NHS workplace union, UNISON.

I now work, when required, as an Exams invigilator at the Wigston Academy and College. I have three daughters, who all attended local schools, and two stepsons. Being community minded, I am a member of the Church of the Nativity (Methodist/Anglican), and until recently, an Assistant Cub Leader at a local Cub Pack, Also I am a member of the South Wigston Women’s Institute.

If elected, I feel that with my knowledge and experience I would be able to contribute greatly to the South Wigston Ward.

Councillor John Boyce

I have lived in South Wigston for 40 years since leaving the army and I have had the privilege of representing the people of South Wigston for the last 20 years. In that time, we have achieved many positive changes. South Wigston is a better place now than when I was first elected, but there is more to do!

If re-elected I will work with the NHS to improve our surgery. We need to resolve the access, parking and the facilities offered, with your support we will achieve this. I thank you for your support in the past and with your vote we can have a better future.

Councillor Richard Morris

I have lived in Wigston & South Wigston since I was a very young child attending the local schools and then leaving school to work on Blaby Road in South Wigston before progressing my career. I know the area very well, and for the last 12 years I’ve been one of the three ward Councillors working to improve the local area and the local open spaces for the community.

I’m a governor of Fairfield Primary School that my daughter also attended, and I have been a governor there for over 10 years assisting with the changes that have come in and ensuring the school has good financial control.

I am the Young Peoples Champion for the Borough, I also sit on the Planning Committee and the Finance Committee part of the team that ensures and delivers sound financial control as verified by external Auditors. It has been an honour to represent such a great local area and I would love to continue representing the community.
